Vietnamese leader To Lam is set to visit Russia, France, the United States, and Canada within September, amid efforts to cope with trade uncertainties pressuring the export-dependent economy. Sources told Reuters that the trip will begin in Russia on September 7 to meet with President Vladimir Putin, before heading to France to attend the International Space Summit in Paris on September 9-10 and meet with President Emmanuel Macron. After a brief return to Vietnam, To Lam will travel to the US to deliver a speech at the UN General Assembly, which begins the week of September 21, and is expected to continue to Canada from September 24. The schedule is not yet official and may change. The visit also includes a meeting with Myanmar's President Min Aung Hlaing in Hanoi this weekend, and he is likely to return to Europe in October to meet EU leaders in Brussels.
