Toho announced on the 9th its preliminary box office revenue figures for its film exhibition division for August, showing revenue of 9.80 billion yen for the month, down 7.4% from the same month last year. On a month-on-month basis it rose 0.9 points, showing signs of improvement. Among the main films screened were "Chiikawa the Movie: The Secret of Mermaid Island," "Kingdom: The Decisive Battle of Souls," "Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Wonderfully! My Yokai Vacation," and "Blue Lock." Following the announcement, Toho's share price rebounded, currently standing at 1,616.5 yen, up 22 yen from the previous day.
