TransMedics Group has completed its strategic investment in Germany-based private aviation operator PAD Aviation. The investment lays the foundation for TransMedics to establish a dedicated pan-European organ transplant air and ground logistics network, replicating its US OCS NOP model to expand adoption of its perfusion technology and increase donor organ utilization across the European Union. PAD Aviation operates a modern fleet including nine Embraer Phenom 300 aircraft from its 24/7 hub in Paderborn, Germany, and holds a valid EASA Air Operator Certificate. TransMedics President and CEO Waleed Hassanein stated that the partnership creates a significant opportunity to save more European transplant patients.
