True Corporation, through True Lab, together with the National Innovation Agency, or NIA, and the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, or ThaiHealth, has opened the True Innovation Launchpad 2026 stage under the concept Healthy Longevity Tech for Super-Aged Society, inviting students to develop technology and innovations to improve the quality of life for the elderly. More than 945 participants from 37 universities nationwide took part, submitting 203 ideas to the competition, and the judging panel selected 5 finalist teams to receive prototype development funding: Team CS-M Tool from Chulalongkorn University, Team InSight Out from Mahidol University, Team W.I.S.P.E.R. from Mahidol University, Team Hackkatui from Prince of Songkla University, and Team Innosenses, a collaboration of students from Rangsit University, the Thai-Nichi Institute of Technology, Silpakorn University, and Dhurakij Pundit University. All 5 teams will enter a 12-week prototype development phase, receiving guidance from business and technology experts, before presenting their work in the final round on December 16, 2026. The project is being held against the backdrop that more than 20% of Thais are aged 60 or over, the second-highest share in ASEAN after Singapore, and it is expected that by 2030 nearly 1 in 3 Thais will be elderly.
