Trump says he will demand compensation from Iran as a condition for talks

US President Donald Trump announced via Truth Social that he will demand Iran pay compensation for the killing of innocent protesters over the past 50 years, as well as for the families of those killed in the USS Cole attack and the thousands who died in fighting with Iran. He said this demand will be included as a condition for all future negotiations with Iran. Trump stated that the demand comes after Iran sought compensation from the US for damages from military conflicts over the past five months, which Trump said is a result of Iran never being allowed to possess nuclear weapons. He added that compensation should also be paid to the families of hundreds of thousands of innocent protesters killed over 50 years, plus another 52,000 killed in the past five months.
