Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing posted August revenue of NT$514.8 billion, or $16.35 billion, a 53.3% increase from August 2025 and a 10.1% rise from July. Through the first eight months of the year, sales totaled NT$3.39 trillion, up 39.3% from the same period last year. The results extend a strong run for the chipmaker, whose second-quarter profit rose more than 77% from a year earlier, and which expects third-quarter revenue of $44.6 billion to $45.8 billion. TrendForce data showed TSMC held a 72.5% share of the global foundry market in the second quarter, with its advanced 5-, 4- and 3-nanometer manufacturing capacity fully booked during the period. Samsung Foundry ranked second with 5.9%, while SMIC held 5.4%.
