Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. Ltd.AI demand accelerating drives TSMC's revenue and earnings growth, with Q1 revenue up 40.6% and guidance above expectations.

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing could be the next company to join the $3 trillion club, currently occupied by Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Alphabet. TSMC, the world's leading advanced chip manufacturer with roughly 70% global market share, reported first-quarter 2026 revenue of $35.9 billion, up 40.6% year over year, and net income up 58.3%. The company guided for second-quarter revenue between $39 billion and $40.2 billion and expects full-year 2026 growth above 30% in U.S. dollar terms. Its $165 billion Arizona expansion, which includes six planned fabs and has already turned a profit, is reducing the geopolitical risk discount on the stock. With earnings compounding at over 50% year over year, the roughly 34% gain needed to reach a $3 trillion market cap from its current $2.24 trillion valuation appears within reach.
