TMBThanachart Bank Public Company LimitedTTB reports strong cash reserves, potential higher dividends, and net profit up 5.8%.

TMBThanachart Bank, or TTB, disclosed that it has cash reserves of over 14 billion baht and may consider paying additional cash dividends. The bank is also eyeing leapfrog growth through mergers and acquisitions or balance sheet expansion. On the lending strategy front, it will focus on expanding the high-yield segment to maintain net interest margins. Meanwhile, auto loans may slow in the third quarter of 2026, prompting a shift toward refinancing and top-up loans. Non-interest income grew 38.5 percent, boosted by extraordinary items, but even excluding those, it still rose 24 percent, which is above the target range. Asset quality remains under control, with Stage 2 loans declining in the second quarter of 2026, and the bank is not concerned about low-income customers because it does not focus on expanding that base. As for the Thai Airways shares held from debt-to-equity conversion, the bank is ready to sell if a suitable opportunity arises, as it has no policy to hold them for speculation or as a long-term strategic partnership. For the first six months of 2026, net profit was 10.683 billion baht, up 5.8 percent from a year earlier.
