Thai Wah Public Company Limited reported second-quarter 2026 net profit fell 73.2 percent from the same period last year to 18.1 million baht, while sales revenue rose 1.8 percent to 2.343 billion baht. First-half net profit came in at 139 million baht, up 0.7 percent, and total revenue reached 4.762 billion baht, up 3.5 percent, amid high tapioca root costs from drought and cassava mosaic disease, as well as the impact of tensions between the United States and Iran. The company is pressing ahead with its China 2.0 strategy, opening a new factory in China in mid-July to meet demand for specialty ingredients, and plans to launch eight to nine new products this year to increase the share of value-added goods.
