Tyson Foods reported a sharp increase in third-quarter profit, with net income attributable to the company rising to $182 million, or $0.52 per share, from $61 million, or $0.17 per share, a year earlier. Adjusted earnings were $0.99 per share, up from $0.91 per share, while sales edged down to $13.87 billion from $13.88 billion, though sales rose 0.6 percent excluding a $98 million legal contingency accrual. Operating margin improved 70 basis points to 2.6 percent, and the company narrowed its fiscal 2025 sales growth guidance to 2.5 to 3.5 percent, implying sales between $55.80 billion and $56.35 billion. Results were driven by continued strength in the Chicken and Prepared Foods segments, with Chicken sales rising to $4.26 billion and Prepared Foods sales growing to $2.56 billion.
