Palantir Technologies Inc.Palantir reported better-than-expected Q2 results and raised full-year guidance, driving shares up over 15%.

U.S. stocks are poised to extend their recent uptrend in early trading on Tuesday, with S&P 500 futures up 0.3 percent. Technology stocks may lead the advance, as Nasdaq 100 futures jump 1.1 percent, driven by Palantir's more than 15 percent pre-market surge after the enterprise software giant reported better-than-expected second quarter results and raised its full-year guidance. An extended nosedive in crude oil prices, with U.S. crude futures plunging more than 3 percent following a more than 5 percent drop on Monday, is also generating early buying interest after Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the U.S. and Iran could reach a deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within days. On the economic front, the Commerce Department reported the U.S. trade deficit narrowed to $73.3 billion in June from $77.6 billion in May, roughly in line with estimates.
