Advanced Micro Devices IncUBS cites expanding server CPU TAM and AMD's revenue growth driven by agentic AI demand for high-performance processors.
UBS analysts have set a $670 price target for Advanced Micro Devices, citing the potential for central processing units to drive the next phase of artificial intelligence growth. The firm believes the total addressable market for server CPUs could expand from about $30 billion in 2025 to roughly $170 billion by 2030, with AMD's annual server CPU revenue possibly jumping from about $16 billion in 2026 to around $50 billion in 2030. AMD's data center segment already generated $5.8 billion in the first quarter, a 57% increase from the prior year, and the company expects second-quarter revenue between $10.9 billion and $11.5 billion. The shift toward agentic AI, which requires more computing power from CPUs to handle complex tasks, is seen as a major catalyst for increased demand for high-performance server processors.
