Teradyne IncTeradyne's Universal Robots division launched the Gen 7 platform with new g-Series arms, PolyScope X OS, and CB7/TP7 controllers.

Universal Robots introduced Gen 7, its seventh-generation robotics platform, at the IMTS tradeshow in Chicago. The platform is anchored by the PolyScope X robot operating system and includes a fully reengineered control box, teach pendant and tool flange. Gen 7 adds three new g-Series robot arms, the UR10g-1750, UR17g-1300 and UR18g-950, named after their payload in kilograms and reach in millimeters, joining the e-Series and UR Series lineup. The new CB7 Core controller offers 40% more compute power in a 30% smaller footprint than previous generations, while the TP7 Core teach pendant is more than 20% lighter than previous generations. All g-Series robots are TÜV certified to ISO10218-1 and UL1740, and Teradyne Robotics is certified to IEC 62443-4-1 ML3 for cybersecurity. Universal Robots, part of Teradyne Robotics, a division of Teradyne, Inc., has sold over 100,000 cobots worldwide.
