US ADP Private Employment Rose by 44,000 in July, Missing Market Expectations

According to the July national employment report released by US private employment services company ADP, private nonfarm payrolls increased by 44,000 from the previous month, falling short of the market forecast of a 70,000 gain. By industry, education and health services led with an increase of 36,000, while leisure and hospitality shed 11,000 jobs, and trade, transportation, and utilities lost 8,000. The overall increase for June was 95,000.
