NVIDIA CorporationUS-China AI dialogue and resumed H200 exports to China boost Nvidia's sales prospects.

US President Donald Trump said on the 19th that he will discuss artificial intelligence at the US-China summit scheduled for next month. The US administration is increasingly wary of active AI development by the Chinese startup Moonshot AI. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said of his planned meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on September 24, "We will talk about AI and many other things." Ahead of the summit, the US and China are moving toward opening an official AI dialogue, aiming to establish a channel for communication and prepare for the risk of escalating confrontation as the two countries compete for dominance in advanced AI development. The US administration increasingly believes that Moonshot AI improperly used AI from the US startup Anthropic in developing its cutting-edge model, and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in July that sanctions were being considered. Meanwhile, purchases by Chinese companies of Nvidia's advanced AI chip, the H200, which the US government allowed to be exported as part of its conciliatory approach toward China, have begun to pick up.
