NVIDIA CorporationVera Rubin expected to generate ~$20B in first full quarter, with orders from major hyperscalers and AI labs.
Nvidia's next-generation Vera Rubin chip architecture is projected to generate nearly $20 billion in revenue during its first full quarter of shipments, according to management guidance and analyst estimates. Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress stated on the second-quarter earnings call that Vera Rubin would account for about 20% of data center revenue in Q3, and since data center sales represent over 90% of Nvidia's total revenue, this translates to roughly $20 billion. Management has called Vera Rubin the fastest product ramp-up in the company's history, with orders from major hyperscalers like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, as well as AI labs such as OpenAI and Anthropic. The new system also includes a processor alongside the chip, expanding Nvidia's addressable market and increasing revenue per gigawatt of computing capacity from $25 billion with Blackwell to $40 billion with Vera Rubin. Nvidia has guided for $108 billion in sales next quarter and is targeting 70% revenue growth for next year, with demand constrained by supply rather than customer interest.
