Verisk Analytics has launched a new U.S. Data Center Exposure Database, providing building-level information on more than 2,500 facilities nationwide to help insurers, reinsurers, and brokers manage growing concentrations of risk. The database includes rooftop-level geocoding, building footprints, construction type, floor area, capacity, and operational redundancy characteristics, and is available within Verisk's Synergy Studio and Touchstone platforms. The launch comes as AI drives significant investment in digital infrastructure, with industry sources indicating that global data center insurance premiums could more than double from approximately $10 billion in 2026 to $23 billion by 2030. Verisk executives Rob Newbold and Jay Guin emphasized that data centers represent billions of dollars in concentrated assets and that understanding their location and risk accumulation is critical for insurers and capital markets participants. The database was developed by AIR Worldwide Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Verisk Analytics.
