Vox Royalty has highlighted its significant gold offtake-stream exposure to the Los Filos mine in Mexico after Equinox Gold signed 20-year land access agreements with all three host communities, a key milestone for a phased restart. Vox holds a stream covering 50% of gold production from Los Filos, with approximately 588,000 ounces remaining under a 1.1-million-ounce cap. Equinox's 2022 estimate pegged Los Filos mineral reserves at 5.4 million ounces of gold, with measured and indicated resources of 7.9 million ounces and inferred resources of 3.2 million ounces. A restart could unlock annual deliveries of up to about 140,000 ounces to Vox, based on Equinox's production target of 280,000 ounces per year. Technical studies are underway to evaluate expansion options including a carbon-in-leach plant, and Equinox noted that the 2022 reserve used a gold price of 1,450 dollars per ounce, presenting an opportunity to enhance economics at current prices.
