Wells Fargo & CompanyLaunch of tokenized deposits for corporate clients reinforces digital investment narrative and supports fee-based services.

Wells Fargo & Company has launched tokenized deposits for corporate and commercial clients, enabling around-the-clock, blockchain-based settlement within the insured banking system. The move was announced alongside a series of callable, unsecured senior notes across maturities from 2029 to 2051 and new perpetual, non-cumulative depositary shares. The tokenized deposit initiative is seen as reinforcing the bank's technology and digital investment narrative, potentially supporting fee-based services. Wells Fargo's narrative projects $94.8 billion revenue and $24.0 billion earnings by 2029, requiring 5.3% yearly revenue growth and a $3.3 billion earnings increase from $20.7 billion today.
