Wells Fargo reported second-quarter 2026 adjusted earnings per share of $1.96, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.73 and up from $1.54 a year earlier. Total revenues rose 8.6% to $22.62 billion, driven by a 5.2% increase in net interest income to $12.32 billion and a 13.1% jump in non-interest income to $10.31 billion. The provision for credit losses fell 9.1% to $914 million, while average loans and deposits grew sequentially by 3.1% and 3.6% respectively. For 2026, the company expects net interest income of approximately $50 billion and non-interest expenses of around $55.7 billion. Shares have added about 1.6% since the report, underperforming the S&P 500.
