Western Digital guided first-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue to $4.1 billion, plus or minus $100 million, and said it is on track to ship its 44-terabyte HAMR product in the first half of calendar year 2027. CEO Tiang Yew Tan highlighted that the company has commenced volume production of its next-generation 40-terabyte ePMR drives with two customers and expects UltraSMR to account for around 60% of nearline exabyte shipments by the end of fiscal 2027. CFO Kris Sennesael reported fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 revenue of $3.75 billion and earnings per share of $3.56, with cloud representing 89% of total revenue, and noted that the company generated $1.3 billion in free cash flow during the quarter. Management also disclosed that customer discussions are now extending to long-term agreements for calendar years 2029, 2030, and 2031, reflecting increased visibility and confidence in durable demand driven by AI inference and Agentic AI.
