Western Digital said artificial intelligence customers are already negotiating long-term storage agreements extending through 2031, giving the company greater visibility into future demand. CEO Irving Tan said during the fourth-quarter earnings call that discussions are underway on agreements covering 2029 through 2031, with both sides working through the commercial structure of those contracts. Tan added that visibility remains very strong and the company has a very good line of sight into future exabyte demand. Western Digital reported fourth-quarter adjusted earnings of $3.56 per share, beating the Street estimate of $3.29, while revenue climbed 44% year over year to $3.75 billion, topping analysts' expectations of $3.69 billion. The company guided above Wall Street estimates for the first quarter, forecasting adjusted earnings of $3.85 to $4.15 per share versus the $3.81 estimate and revenue of $4.0 billion to $4.2 billion, while analysts expect $4.01 billion.
