Western New England Bancorp reported net income of $3.6 million, or $0.18 per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2026, down from $4.6 million a year earlier, and declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.07 per share. The dividend is payable on or about August 26, 2026 to shareholders of record on August 12, 2026. The decline in net income was driven by a $1.6 million provision for credit losses, which included a $1.8 million partial charge-off on a non-owner occupied commercial real estate participation loan after the borrower filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Net interest income rose 9.5% to $19.3 million, and the net interest margin expanded to 3.00% from 2.80% a year ago. Total loans grew 0.5% to $2.2 billion, while total deposits increased 1.7% to $2.4 billion, and the company repurchased 381,000 shares during the first half of 2026 under its 2025 Repurchase Plan.
