WHA is confident that the decision by the Data Center Business Policy Committee to halt projects not yet under construction in order to issue control criteria within one month will benefit industrial estates that are more prepared. Meanwhile, AMATA agrees that it will not be affected, but experts point out that psychologically, it damages the investment climate. The measures cover all types of data centers, requiring those using more than 2 megawatts of electricity to be classified as industrial operations, and establishing four subcommittees to consider technical standards. Currently, there are 35 data centers in operation, 49 under construction, and 117 awaiting review.
