Xilio Therapeutics has appointed Ben Harshbarger as its new chief legal officer. Harshbarger brings over 20 years of executive leadership and legal expertise in the biopharmaceutical industry, most recently serving as chief legal officer at Astria Therapeutics until its acquisition by BioCryst Pharmaceuticals. At Xilio, he joins the leadership team as the company advances its pipeline of masked immuno-oncology therapies, including XTX501, a bispecific PD-1 and masked IL-2 candidate, and multiple masked T-cell engagers. His prior roles include interim chief executive officer and general counsel at Novelion Therapeutics and general counsel at Aegerion Pharmaceuticals.
