Snowsky Salt Industry Group Co LtdXuetian Salt Industry plans to acquire control of Kuntian New Energy via share issuance and cash, a major asset restructuring that expands its lithium battery materials business.

On the evening of August 28, Xuetian Salt Industry announced that the company is planning to acquire control of Hebei Kuntian New Energy Co., Ltd. through the issuance of shares and cash payment, and will issue shares to no more than 35 specific investors to raise supporting funds. The transaction is expected to constitute a major asset restructuring and a related-party transaction, but will not result in a change of actual controller. The company's shares will be suspended from August 31, for no more than 10 trading days, with a restructuring plan or report to be disclosed no later than September 14. On the last trading day before the suspension, Xuetian Salt Industry's share price hit the daily limit, closing at 6.04 yuan per share, with a total market value of 9.906 billion yuan. Kuntian New Energy is a producer of anode materials for lithium-ion batteries, valued at over 10 billion yuan, and has previously completed two rounds of financing totaling more than 2 billion yuan. This acquisition is another move by Xuetian Salt Industry in the lithium battery materials sector after it took control of Meite New Materials in December 2025, and will cover both cathode and anode materials. In recent years, affected by industry overcapacity, Xuetian Salt Industry's performance has continued to decline. Net profit attributable to the parent company fell 74.59% year-on-year in 2025, and fell 9.23% year-on-year in the first half of 2026, but non-GAAP net profit grew 68.34% year-on-year.
