Zentalis Pharmaceuticals LlcPositive overall survival data and trial progress for azenosertib in ovarian cancer.

Zentalis Pharmaceuticals announced it will present overall survival results from the DENALI Part 1b study of its investigational WEE1 inhibitor azenosertib at the European Society for Medical Oncology Congress 2026 in Madrid. The data, accepted as a rapid oral presentation, highlight long-term survival benefits in patients with Cyclin E1-positive platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. The company will also present a trial-in-progress poster on ASPENOVA, a Phase 3 study of azenosertib monotherapy versus standard-of-care chemotherapy in the same biomarker-selected population. DENALI Part 1b enrolled patients regardless of Cyclin E1 expression and treated them with azenosertib at 400 mg once daily on a 5-days-on, 2-days-off schedule. Zentalis is advancing azenosertib in registration-intended monotherapy trials for this high-unmet-need group, which represents approximately 50% of platinum-resistant ovarian cancer patients.
