Zillow Group Inc Class CZillow sued for securities fraud over alleged anticompetitive agreement with Redfin, with FTC antitrust complaint and CFO warning of higher legal expenses.

A class action lawsuit has been filed against Zillow Group and certain senior executives for securities fraud related to an allegedly anticompetitive agreement with Redfin. The suit, brought by Bleichmar Fonti & Auld LLP, claims Zillow misrepresented a $100 million payment to Redfin as a partnership when it was actually meant to eliminate competition. The FTC filed its own antitrust complaint on September 30, 2025, causing Zillow's Class C and Class A shares to drop 4.33% and 4.5%, respectively. Further declines followed on February 10, 2026, after the CFO warned of higher legal expenses, with Class C shares falling 16.54% and Class A shares falling 17.13%. Investors have until August 10, 2026 to seek lead plaintiff appointment in the case pending in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.
