Yiling Pharmaceutical announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Wanyang Hengshui Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has received a Certificate of Suitability to the European Pharmacopoeia, known as a CEP certificate, for the letrozole active pharmaceutical ingredient from the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines and HealthCare. The certificate number is CEP-2026-058-Rev 00. Letrozole is a highly effective, selective non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor that works by suppressing estrogen synthesis and is used in the treatment of breast cancer, mainly as adjuvant therapy for postmenopausal hormone receptor-positive breast cancer and for the treatment of advanced breast cancer. Obtaining the CEP certificate indicates that this active pharmaceutical ingredient is qualified to enter the European Union and other markets that recognize CEP certificates in the form of an active pharmaceutical ingredient. The company stated that this approval will have a positive impact on further expanding its international market, while also noting that pharmaceutical production and sales are subject to uncertainties arising from factors such as industry policies and the market environment.

The clinical trial application for LB220-D08 sustained-release tablets, a Class 1 innovative chemical drug independently developed by Yiling Pharmaceutical, has been accepted by the National Medical Products Administration. The indication is atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome. The drug is a complement inhibitor targeting Factor B with independent intellectual property rights owned by the company. The acceptance numbers are CXHL2600983 and CXHL2600984. The company noted that drug development from clinical trial application to approval and market launch involves a long cycle and many steps, and there are uncertainties.

The National Essential Drug List 2026 Edition officially took effect today, adding 48 varieties of Chinese patent medicines and bringing the total to 794. This is the first adjustment to the essential drug list since 2018. The expansion of Chinese patent medicines closely targets needs in common primary care diseases, chronic conditions of aging, pediatric care, and specialized therapeutic areas, while fully retaining mainstream blood-activating and stasis-removing injectables such as Danshen Injection and Xuesaitong, exceeding market expectations. Among the newly added varieties, exclusive products account for a large share, including over 20 exclusive varieties such as Yiling Pharmaceutical's Jieyu Chufan Capsules, Hansen Pharmaceutical's Simo Decoction Oral Liquid, Mayinglong's Babao Eye Ointment, and Panlong Pharmaceutical's Panlongqi Tablets. Multiple listed companies are optimistic about sales prospects after entering the essential drug list. A source at Mayinglong said Babao Eye Ointment generated over 28 million yuan in revenue in 2025, and after inclusion, primary healthcare institutions will be required to stock it. Panlong Pharmaceutical's core product Panlongqi Tablets will directly benefit from mandatory stocking requirements at secondary hospitals and above. Industry experts predict that newly included varieties will go through a process of tendering, hospital admission, and volume ramp-up, with incremental growth of at least 20 percent and possibly up to 50 percent, but will not have a significant impact on performance in the short term.

The National Health Commission and two other departments have officially released the National Essential Medicines List 2026 Edition, which will take effect on September 1, 2026. This marks the fourth adjustment, coming eight years after the 2018 update. The new list includes a total of 794 medicines, comprising 476 chemical and biological products and 318 traditional Chinese patent medicines, with 116 new additions and two removals. For the first time, the adjustment attempted to include innovative drugs, ultimately adding four domestic Class I new drugs, including three chemical and biological products and one traditional Chinese patent medicine. Products from several A-share companies were selected, including Novo Nordisk's semaglutide injection, Yiling Pharmaceutical's Jieyu Chufan Capsules, Zuoli Pharmaceutical's Bailing Capsules, Xingqi Pharmaceutical's gatifloxacin ophthalmic gel, and Jumpcan Pharmaceutical's Xiaoer Chiqiao Qingre Granules. The new list covers 71 percent of the total variety of medicines used in public medical and health institutions nationwide, with essential medicine usage proportions of 78 percent, 74 percent, and 65 percent at primary, secondary, and tertiary public institutions respectively.
