Analysts predict that Samsung is on track to become a major global stablecoin distributor, after the company laid the groundwork for access through more than 800 million Galaxy devices worldwide. This move comes amid the enforcement of South Korea's Digital Asset Basic Act and partnerships with major digital asset platforms such as Dunamu, the operator of Upbit, as well as the development of Samsung Wallet and the issuance of a Samsung stablecoin on Samsung SDS infrastructure, which will allow users to transact directly with USDC and other stablecoins via smartphones.

Samsung Electronics shares rose 6.76% after the company announced the establishment of a new robotics business unit called RX, or Robotics eXperience, to drive its mid- to long-term strategy in Physical AI and humanoid robots. TM Roh, the chief executive officer, will personally oversee the unit. The announcement also helped lift South Korea's Kospi index by about 4%. Earlier in the same month, TM Roh revealed that Samsung Electronics plans to invest approximately 60 trillion won in the Yeongnam region, which includes its manufacturing base in Gumi. Of this amount, 19 trillion won will be used together with Samsung SDS to develop Physical AI infrastructure and build a humanoid robot manufacturing plant. In addition, the new unit plans to set up research and development centers in the United States, China, and Japan.

Anthropic opened a Seoul office and announced a series of partnerships across South Korea's artificial intelligence ecosystem as the Claude developer expands in Asia ahead of a public listing. The company signed a memorandum of understanding with South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT to collaborate on public-sector AI adoption, model safety testing, and cybersecurity threats. Major business groups including LG CNS, Hanwha Solutions, and Samsung SDS are deploying Claude, while NAVER uses Claude Code for software development and Nexon has integrated Claude into game development workflows. Anthropic will also provide Claude access to about 60 researchers at South Korea's National AI Research Lab for work on AI safety and frontier research. The Seoul office is led by Kiyoung Choi, who joined in May as Representative Director of Korea from Snowflake.
