Genprex, Inc. is a clinical-stage gene therapy company developing treatments for cancer and diabetes. Its oncology program uses the systemic, non-viral Oncoprex Delivery System, which encapsulates gene-expressing plasmids in lipid-based nanoparticles. The lead candidate, Reqorsa Gene Therapy (quaratusugene ozeplasmid), is in three clinical trials for NSCLC and SCLC, and is also being developed for mesothelioma, Ras inhibitor-resistant NSCLC, other tumor suppressor genes, and glioblastoma in preclinical studies. The company's diabetes gene therapy uses an AAV vector to deliver Pdx1 and MafA genes to the pancreas; GPX-002 is being developed for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
