Stora Enso reported a second-quarter net loss of 11 million euros, swinging from a profit of 15 million euros a year earlier. Loss per share was 0.03 euros compared to a profit of 0.03 euros. Adjusted EBIT rose 27% to 160 million euros, supported by the ramp-up of a new consumer board line at the Oulu site, and the adjusted EBIT margin widened to 6.6% from 5.2%. Sales remained nearly flat at 2.42 billion euros versus 2.43 billion euros, as structural gains were offset by lower prices and adverse currency movements.
