ArcticZymes Technologies ASA is a life sciences company that develops, manufactures, and commercializes recombinant enzymes for molecular research, in vitro diagnostics, and biomanufacturing. Its products include shrimp alkaline phosphatase, cod UNG for removing contaminating dU-DNA in viral and other molecular diagnostic assays, salt active nucleases for removing nucleic acids during manufacturing of viral vectors, recombinant proteins, and other reagents, and double-strand specific DNases and derived kits for removing double-stranded DNA. It also provides DNA/RNA polymerases for technology development in life science, molecular diagnostics, NGS, and synthetic biology, proteinase for microbiological diagnostics and liquid biopsies, and ligases for joining nucleic acids. The company serves the molecular tools and biomanufacturing markets and operates in Norway, Germany, Lithuania, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, the rest of Europe, the United States, and internationally. Formerly known as Biotec Pharmacon ASA, it changed its name to ArcticZymes Technologies ASA in June 2020, was founded in 1990, and is headquartered in Tromsø, Norway.
