Akwel SA manufactures and sells components for automotive and heavy goods vehicles across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Turkey, Morocco, Tunisia, the United States, and Asia. Its products include pipes, valves, and sensors for cooling, fuel, and oil solutions; control products; air distributors; turbo air intake and output pipes and exchangers; and exhaust gas recirculation pipes. The company also provides washer systems such as tanks and jets for storage, pumping, transfer, and jet functions, as well as mechanism architecture for bonnets, boots, side and swing doors, and electronic management of hardware, software, transfer, storage, reheating, and pumping systems. Formerly known as MGI Coutier SA, it changed its name to AKWEL in June 2018, was founded in 1972, is based in Champfromier, France, and operates as a subsidiary of Coutier Junior.
