REC Silicon ASA

REC Silicon ASA produces and sells silicon materials for the solar and electronics industries in Norway and internationally. Its products include Signature Silane gas, a pure form of silicon used in fuel industries and specialty gases such as Dichlorosilane, Monochlorosilane, and Disilane for flat panel displays, semiconductors, and solar cells. The company also supplies solar grade polysilicon, including NextSi for multi crystalline and monocrystalline solar ingot and wafer production, and electronic grade polysilicon for float zone-based devices and Czochralski semiconductor wafers. Formerly known as Renewable Energy Corporation ASA, it changed its name to REC Silicon ASA in October 2013. Founded in 1996, it is headquartered in Lysaker, Norway.
