Semapa - Sociedade de Investimento e Gestão, SGPS, S.A. produces and sells pulp, printing and writing papers, and tissues through its subsidiaries in Portugal, Europe, the United States, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. It operates in three segments: Pulp and Paper, Cement, and Other Businesses. The company also produces bleached eucalyptus kraft pulp (BEKP), cork, pine wood products, cement, ready-mixed concrete, aggregates, mortars, precast concrete, hydraulic lime, and aluminium e-bike frames, and provides services for recovering animal by-products to produce fertilizers, animal feed, and biodiesel. Incorporated in 1991, it is based in Lisbon, Portugal.
