Innospec Inc. develops, manufactures, blends, markets, and supplies specialty chemicals across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific. It operates through three segments: Performance Chemicals, Fuel Specialties, and Oilfield Services. The company provides fuel additives for diesel, jet, marine, and other fuels, as well as technology-based solutions for personal care, home care, agrochemical, construction, mining, and other industrial markets. It also offers chemical solutions for drilling, completion, production, and oil and gas applications. Innospec was formerly known as Octel Corp. and changed its name in January 2006. Founded in 1938, it is headquartered in Englewood, Colorado.

Innospec expects North Carolina repairs to lift Performance Chemicals capacity by over 10% next year

Innospec expects plant repairs and process improvements in North Carolina to increase Performance Chemicals capacity by more than 10% next year, with full repair and optimization targeted by the end of the fourth quarter. CEO Patrick Williams said the work is about 60% complete and will drive long-term benefits, while CFO Ian Cleminson noted additional capacity is unlikely before the fourth quarter at the earliest. Performance Chemicals operating leverage drove a 15% operating income increase over last year, contributing to second-quarter total revenues of $491.4 million and GAAP earnings per share of $1.25. The company also reported strong demand for its drag-reducing agents, with added capacity almost sold out and another expansion under discussion.

Innospec Publishes 2025 Sustainability Report Highlighting Measurable Progress and Responsible Growth

Innospec Inc. has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, highlighting measurable progress across environmental performance, safety, innovation, and responsible business practices. The report shows a 6% reduction in total employee and contractor accidents and a 96% reduction in the quantity released from loss-of-containment events. Absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions have fallen 34% since the 2014 baseline, while Scope 3 emissions are down 13% since 2022. Fuel Specialties additives delivered emissions-related benefits equivalent to 21.6 million metric tonnes of CO₂e, a 3.7% improvement from 2024. All manufacturing sites continued to procure 100% renewable electricity, and the company spent US$51 million on Research and Technology in 2025, driving a 17% increase in total patent filings.
