Fabric.AI and Kopin Corporation have expanded their Neural I/O program by signing several new non-disclosure agreements with companies that are part of NVIDIA's NVLink ecosystem. The agreements, announced as part of the Neural I/O initiative, bring in additional industry participants evaluating the potential use of the MicroLED-based optical interconnect platform in next-generation AI infrastructure. Neural I/O aims to address the challenge of moving growing data volumes efficiently between GPUs, accelerators, memory, and other computing components using a massively parallel optical architecture. Fabric.AI CEO Josh Silverman stated that the new NDAs represent a meaningful step in expanding industry engagement as the company advances toward a planned CES 2027 demonstration.

Kopin Corporation announced it expects to achieve GAAP profitability and positive free cash flow in the fourth quarter of 2026, driven by progress across its defense and AI programs. CEO Michael Murray highlighted major technical milestones in the U.S. Army color microLED program, including achieving over 150,000 nits of single-panel full-color brightness, with manufacturing targeted for mid-2027. The company also reported multiple new prototype orders for Sentinel FPV goggles tied to the Drone Dominance Program, with volume orders expected to begin in late Q4 2026. CFO Erich Manz stated that second-half 2026 results are expected to exceed prior guidance, though no new official revenue range was provided. For the second quarter of 2026, Kopin reported total revenue of $12.7 million, a loss from operations of $3.5 million, and net income attributable to common stockholders of $0.9 million, or $0.00 per share, aided by investment gains and an income tax benefit.

Kopin Corporation has received multiple new orders for its Sentinel First Person Viewer product as part of the U.S. Government's one way attack drone initiative. The Sentinel FPV platform offers dual situational awareness, is extremely low weight, produced in the U.S., and provides defense-ready performance with high-clarity, low-latency viewing. The company noted that winners of the Drone Dominance Program could require tens of thousands of FPV goggles, with volume orders expected to begin in late August following Phase 2 evaluations. Kopin is also pursuing strategic partnerships with drone manufacturers and system integrators seeking U.S.-built FPV solutions. In pre-market trading, KOPN shares rose 7.85% to $4.12.
