Emeis Raises 2026 Guidance After Strong First-Half Revenue and Margin Growth

Emeis reported strong first-half 2026 results, with like-for-like revenue growth of 6% driven by a 2.8 percentage point increase in average occupancy rates to above 90% in the second quarter. Operating margins improved significantly, as EBITDA margin excluding IFRS 16 rose by 2.2 points to 7.6% and EBIT grew 83% year-on-year. The company's financial leverage ratio decreased dramatically to 8.7 times from 15.4 times a year ago, well ahead of its covenant commitment of 12 times by the end of 2026. Management raised its full-year 2026 guidance, now expecting like-for-like EBITDA growth of 12% to 14%, up from the previous forecast of slightly more than 10%. Net income remained negative at minus 40 million euros, though it improved by 97 million euros versus the prior year, while cash flow faced headwinds from non-recurring items including a 94 million euro working capital increase and 164 million euros in one-off safeguard-plan exit payments.

emeis appoints new COO, CFO, and EVPs in governance overhaul

emeis has announced a series of senior appointments to its Executive Committee, effective from September and October 2026. Jean-Marc Boursier, currently Deputy CEO, has been named Chief Operating Officer and will oversee operations across all countries, with all country CEOs reporting to him; he will also serve as CEO for France. Sylvie Brisson will join as Group EVP of Human Resources from 1 October, replacing Fanny Barbier, who will stay until year-end to support the transition. Maria de la Mota has been appointed Group EVP, Medical, and Julia Clavel becomes Group Chief Financial Officer, both from 1 September. The changes are part of CEO Laurent Guillot's effort to support growth and improve care quality under the 'emeis 2030' project.

emeis shareholders approved all resolutions at the June 23, 2026 General Meeting, including the appointment of Olivier Dussopt as a director and his subsequent elevation to Chairman of the Board.
