Newland Payment Technology has partnered with Polskie ePłatności, part of Nexi Group, to deploy the Newland N950K Android payment terminal in Poland. The N950K is a portable Android SmartPOS terminal running on Android 12, combining a touchscreen with a physical keypad and supporting contactless, smart card, and magnetic stripe payments, along with integrated printing and camera functionality. PeP is using its own payment application on the device as part of its strategy to update merchant estates that have historically relied on Linux-based devices. Poland remains a heavily contactless payments market, with contactless cards representing 97.7% of all payment cards issued at the end of June 2025, according to the National Bank of Poland. Newland is supplying the Android terminal and the infrastructure layer to support the device estate.
