Grenke AG provides financial services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Germany, France, Italy, and internationally, operating through its subsidiaries. Its activities include financing for commercial lessees, leasing and related services, protection and maintenance offerings, and small-ticket leasing of IT products such as PCs, notebooks, servers, monitors, and other peripherals. The company also offers leasing portfolios covering office communication products, medical technology products, small machines and equipment, security devices, and green economy objects including wall boxes, photovoltaic systems, and eBikes. In addition, it provides fixed-term deposits for private and commercial customers via its website and online platforms, microloans and start-up financing, development loans to SMEs and self-employed professionals, and small-ticket factoring services. The company was formerly known as GrenkeLeasing AG and changed its name to Grenke AG in May 2016. Grenke AG was founded in 1978 and is headquartered in Baden-Baden, Germany.

Grenke H1 Profit Surges 25% to EUR32.6 Million

Grenke AG reported first-half 2026 group earnings of EUR32.6 million, up nearly 25% from EUR26.2 million a year earlier, while confirming full-year guidance of EUR74 million to EUR86 million. Operating income grew 11% to EUR353 million, driven by net interest income of EUR215 million and profit from new and service business of EUR138 million, and the cost-income ratio improved to 51.6% from 56.4%. Leasing new business rose 1.4% to EUR1.6 billion, with gains in the DACH region, Western Europe, Southern Europe, and other regions including the US, Canada, and Australia, but an 11% decline in Northern-Eastern Europe. The loss rate remained elevated at 2%, with settlement of claims and risk provisions rising to EUR119 million from EUR95 million, and management expects a loss rate of around 1.8% to 1.9% in the second half. Return on equity reached 4.6%, up 80 basis points year-over-year, while the CM2 margin stood at 15.9% for the first half.
