Italy-based fruit and vegetable supplier Orsero has expanded into the United States by acquiring a 45% stake in Trucco Holdings and agreeing to purchase 46% of affiliated business AJ Trucco Inc. The total consideration for the transactions is $46 million on a debt-free, cash-free basis, with the AJ Trucco deal expected to close before year-end pending regulatory approvals. Orsero also holds an option to acquire an additional 15% of Trucco Holdings from 2029 onwards. Trucco Group, which generated around $250 million in revenue last year, operates three companies specializing in importing and marketing fresh produce such as kiwifruit, blueberries, and citrus. Orsero, which reported net sales of €1.7 billion in 2025, called the move a transformative milestone that will give it a global perspective and exposure to the US market.
