Hankook Tire & Technology reported higher second-quarter earnings. Net income attributable to shareholders of the parent company rose to KRW 279.10 billion from KRW 182.07 billion a year earlier. Operating income jumped to KRW 559.09 billion from KRW 353.64 billion, while sales increased to KRW 5.68 trillion from KRW 5.37 trillion.

Hankook Tire completed its latest Drive & Learn event at the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, Illinois, bringing together dealer partners and content creators for a full-day immersive driving experience. Attendees tested the Dynapro AT2 Xtreme, Dynapro XT, Dynapro HT2, and Weatherflex GT tires across a road course, an off-road course, and a timed autocross challenge. The program is designed to move product education beyond the classroom, allowing participants to experience firsthand how tire technologies translate into traction, handling, durability, and driver confidence. Rob Williams, President and CEO of Hankook Tire America Corp., emphasized that the hands-on experience gives dealers deeper product understanding and greater confidence when speaking with customers. The Chicago-area event follows a May activation at the company's Tennessee Proving Grounds, with additional events planned for Texas and a return to Tennessee later this year.
