Chunghwa Telecom posts highest Q2 revenue since 2010 on ICT and 5G growth
Chunghwa Telecom reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of TWD 61.36 billion, an 8.2% year-over-year increase and the highest second-quarter level since 2010. Net income rose 6.2% to TWD 11.27 billion, with earnings per share reaching TWD 1.38, a 10-year high for the period. The company's ICT revenue surged 32% year over year, driven by large-scale projects for public sector and manufacturing clients, while international subsidiary revenue jumped 242% on AI supply chain deliveries in the United States and construction projects in Southeast Asia. Mobile service revenue grew 3.2%, supported by 5G adoption reaching 49% penetration among smartphone users and a record 41.2% mobile revenue market share. Management highlighted that first-half ICT contract values already matched the full-year 2025 total, providing strong visibility into future recurring revenue.
