ORION Corp., together with its subsidiaries, manufactures and sells various confectionery products in South Korea, China, and internationally. The company offers pies, snacks, biscuits, candies, gums, and chocolates; protein drinks/powders and bars/balls bars; bar and oat products; and mineral water under the Dr.You, Market O, Market O Nature, and Jeju yongamsoo brands. The company also produces and distributes films; and provides in vitro diagnostics for early detection of cancer and vaccines for contagious diseases. In addition, it manufactures and sells food and beverage products; processes agriculture products; and manufactures pulp and paper products. The company was formerly known as Tongyang Confectionery Corporation and changed its name to Orion Corporation in 2003. ORION Corp. was founded in 1956 and is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.

ORION Corp. Reports Higher Revenue and Profit in Q2 2026

ORION Corp. reported higher revenue and profit for the second quarter of 2026. Revenue rose to KRW 893.59 billion from KRW 777.17 billion a year earlier, while operating income increased to KRW 132.57 billion from KRW 121.45 billion. Profit attributable to owners of the parent was KRW 86.16 billion, up from KRW 69.83 billion, and earnings per share were KRW 2,180.0 compared with KRW 1,767.0. For the first six months, revenue climbed to KRW 1.82 trillion from KRW 1.58 trillion, operating income to KRW 298.04 billion from KRW 252.83 billion, and profit attributable to owners of the parent to KRW 210.64 billion from KRW 174.17 billion. ORION closed Friday's trading at KRW 134,000.00, up 1.67 percent on the Korean Stock Exchange.

Orion Pharma signs agreement with Shilpa Medicare for nivolumab biosimilar in Europe

Orion Pharma and Shilpa Biologicals, a subsidiary of Shilpa Medicare, have entered into an agreement to commercialise an intravenous nivolumab biosimilar in Europe. Under the deal, Orion gains exclusive rights to distribute, market and sell the product in Europe, while Shilpa will supply it and receive certain development and regulatory milestone payments. Nivolumab is an immune checkpoint inhibitor used to treat various cancers, and Shilpa's biosimilar is currently under development. Orion's EVP of Generics and Consumer Health, Satu Ahomäki, said the agreement strengthens the company's hospital segment in Continental Europe and advances its strategy to provide affordable quality medicines. Shilpa Medicare's Managing Director, Vishnukant Bhutada, called the extension of the partnership into immuno-oncology a defining moment that reflects trust in the company's quality and ability to deliver complex biologics at scale.

Orion Pharma's ODM-212 gets EU orphan designation for malignant mesothelioma

Orion Pharma's investigational drug ODM-212 has received Orphan Designation from the European Commission for the treatment of malignant mesothelioma. The designation, based on a recommendation from the European Medicines Agency's Committee for Orphan Medicinal Products, qualifies Orion for incentives including protocol assistance, fee reductions, and a 10-year market exclusivity period upon approval. ODM-212 is an oral small-molecule pan-TEAD inhibitor currently in a Phase 2 clinical trial for malignant pleural mesothelioma and other solid tumors with Hippo pathway dysfunction. The US FDA had previously granted Orphan Drug Designation to ODM-212 for mesothelioma.
