Optic Vision's interim report shows declines in revenue and net profit, with weak rigid lens sales and looming goodwill impairment risks
Optic Vision disclosed its 2026 interim report on the evening of August 28. The company achieved operating revenue of 865 million yuan, a slight year-on-year decrease of 0.63 percent. Net profit attributable to the parent company was 232 million yuan, down 7.24 percent. Non-GAAP net profit was 184 million yuan, a year-on-year decline of 14.72 percent. Sales revenue from rigid contact lens products, the core source of income, reached 323 million yuan, down 9.13 percent year-on-year. The company acknowledged that weak high-end consumption, diversion by competing products, and intensifying brand competition in orthokeratology lenses dragged down sales. At the same time, non-operating impacts including credit impairment losses and asset impairment losses increased by 114.65 percent year-on-year, with asset impairment losses reaching 18.33 million yuan, mainly due to the provision for goodwill impairment. Operating costs rose 12.76 percent year-on-year, selling expenses increased 5.70 percent, while research and development investment fell 30.96 percent. The company plans an interim profit distribution, based on 894 million shares, with a cash dividend of 0.52 yuan for every 10 shares. In addition, the book value of goodwill is as high as 844 million yuan. If the performance of invested enterprises falls short of expectations, goodwill impairment may further affect profit and net assets.
