Kaige Precision’s core IPO project shifts to Nanchang after less than 5% investment; production delayed to end‑2028

Kaige Precision announced adjustments to its Precision Intelligent Manufacturing Equipment Production Base project, originally slated for completion by the end of 2026. The project had a committed investment of 238 million yuan, but as of 30 June 2026 only 9.79 million yuan had been spent, representing progress of just 4.11 percent. The company will use its wholly owned subsidiary Nanchang Kaike to participate in a judicial auction for industrial land and above‑ground buildings in Nanchang High‑tech Zone, adding 107 million yuan in factory acquisition costs. Equipment investment will be cut from 102 million yuan to 46.6 million yuan, and all site leasing expenses will be cancelled. The date by which the project is expected to reach its intended usable state has been pushed back to 31 December 2028. The company said Nanchang has a complete electronic information industry cluster and is adjacent to Wuhan, a hub for the optical communications industry, making it easier to reach optical communications customers in central China. In recent years, its automated assembly line for 800G optical modules has won recognition from overseas customers, and it has launched a 1.6T product line. In 2025, Kaige Precision posted revenue of 1.156 billion yuan and net profit attributable to the parent of 187 million yuan, up 34.93 percent and 164.80 percent year‑on‑year respectively. In the first quarter of 2026, revenue reached 340 million yuan and net profit attributable to the parent was 64.98 million yuan, surging 72.80 percent and 95.66 percent year‑on‑year. However, progress on its core production project remains slow, and the pace of capacity expansion still needs to be tested.
