Toyota to halt Tahara plant next week as Kumamoto earthquake disrupts supply chain

Parts supply has been disrupted by the Kumamoto earthquake, and Toyota Motor will suspend operations at its Tahara plant in Aichi Prefecture from August 3 to 7. The three plants in Fukuoka Prefecture, which have been halted since the day after the quake on the 29th, will also extend their shutdown until August 5. Toyota Boshoku has also halted its Kyushu plant following the suspension of operations at its customer Toyota Motor Kyushu.
