ALPHA Corporation develops, manufactures, and sells lock and key products for automobile parts, housing hardware, and coin-operated lockers in Japan and internationally. Its automotive offerings include door handles, intelligent keys, remote control keys, mechanical keys, and antitheft locks such as steering column locks and key cylinders. The company also provides residential electric and mechanical locks, delivery boxes, padlocks, and industrial locks for vending machines, ATMs, and currency changers. Formerly known as Kokusan Kinzoku Kogyo Co., Ltd., it changed its name to ALPHA Corporation in December 1990. Founded in 1923, it is headquartered in Yokohama, Japan.
