MiTAC Computing Technology USA Corporation has opened an expanded operations facility in Newark, California. The upgraded site houses four centers of excellence: a New Product Introduction unit for advanced cooling rack-scale prototypes, an engineering lab for AI and cloud system validation, a Customer Experience Center for full-stack infrastructure demonstrations, and a service center for post-deployment support. General Manager Raymond Huang said the expansion deepens the company's U.S. footprint by delivering localized engineering, testing, and failure analysis to accelerate data center infrastructure time-to-market. The opening ceremony included Newark Mayor Michael Hannon and other local officials, along with sponsors AMD, Micron, SanDisk, TDS, and D&H.

Bloom Energy is expanding its partnership with MiTAC Computing Technology to deploy fuel cell microgrids at MiTEC's AI server manufacturing campus in Fremont, California, adding to an existing installation in San Jose. The deal highlights growing demand for onsite power beyond data centers, as AI hardware manufacturers face the same grid constraints. Bloom now has nearly two dozen AI infrastructure customers, representing about 250 megawatts of contracted capacity, up from zero two years ago. This is in addition to hundreds of megawatts already deployed at data centers, with recent strategic expansions including up to 2.8 gigawatts with Oracle and a fivefold increase to $25 billion with Brookfield Asset Management. The company is positioning its rapidly deployable fuel cells as a standard for AI onsite power across the broader infrastructure build-out.

The company introduced four rack-scale solutions, including a 52U high-density AI liquid-cooled rack that integrates 12 G4826Z5 servers with up to 96 AMD Instinct MI355X GPUs, boosting GPU density by 50 percent compared to standard 48U racks. Other solutions include an air-cooled rack with up to 32 AMD Instinct MI350X GPUs, an OCP ORv3 standard liquid-cooled rack, and a high-density storage rack integrated with the DDN Infinia Intelligent AI Data Platform. MiTAC Computing also highlighted advanced server platforms such as the G4520G6 AI PCIe GPU server, the C2811Z5 multi-node OCP liquid-cooled server, and the R2520G6 enterprise server.
